Eleah Horwitz -- Writer
In a school play, I once sang, "Words, words, words! I'm so sick of words!"
I lied! I love words!
So much so, I've spent thirty years learning how to put them together in the right order for a wide variety of projects in Fiction, Television, and Animal Advocacy. Check out some of my favorites.
Chat Fiction:
Chat Fiction is an exciting new genre of storytelling in which the reader is like a voyeur, peeking over the protagonist's shoulder into their private texts. Stories are told completely in text form, with chapters you can read in only a few minutes. Just download the SHORTZ app onto your phone and search Eleah Horwitz to find my episodes.
Writing for Television:
When I was 7, I got my own television for Hanukah. Questionable parenting, but it sparked my early career as a TV writer, for which I’ll always be grateful.
Eliza is granted the ability to speak with animals, which helps a lot as she and her odd family travel the globe creating nature documentaries. | The adventures of four imaginative babies and their mean cousin as they try to learn about their world. | A boy genius and his friends travel to parallel worlds, trying to find their way back home. |
---|---|---|
The lives and loves of identical twins with quite different personalities. Based on Francine Pascal’s book series. | Fiona and her brother explore all things strange as they travel across the country on their mother’s band’s tour bus. | A family drama about a minister, his wife, and their five children. |
Animal Advocacy:
I began writing web content for fledgling, non-profit pet rescue, Four Legged Friends Foundation. Click here to read a very personal story I wrote for the FLuFF STuFF newsletter.
At Rachael Ray’s NUTRISH.com, I combined my love of animals with my love of word-craft, penning over 80 articles that benefit pets globally.
During the pandemic, the need for virtual veterinarians increased dramatically. I’m proud to have been able to help an innovative start-up, well, start up, with B2B articles, biographies and speeches.
Lilith's Apple ~ A Novel in Progress
Created as mate to mere mortal Adam... Seduced then abandoned by God Himself... What’s a preternatural girl, just looking for love and someplace to raise her ten thousand demon offspring, to do?
Join Lilith, the first woman (Yes, before Eve!) as she journeys through a variety of heavens and hells on her way to happiness. If, like me, you got in trouble in Sunday School for asking the wrong questions, you’re going to love it!
"Behold, I am the archangel Samael, who was there when God put down the apple on which He snacked, took up the clay of the earth, and created the first human beings together—Lilith in His left hand and Adam in His right. For lo, the Almighty is ambidextrous.”
Lilith 36x24 Acrylic, pastel and paper on canvas.
I’ve written television, novels, chat fiction, web content, interviews, speeches and quizzes…
